EMT - Traditional Format   (32—four hour sessions)
This course is the standard face to face format with lectures and labs done in the classroom six to eight hours per week on weeknights, weekdays, or Saturdays. Thirty two hours of internship are completed, outside of class, in the last half of the course.

EMT—Hybrid Format   (12-14 Weeks)
This course has all of the lecture done on the internet. It IS NOT a self-paced course, the weeks assignments are due on Monday at 8:00am. However, you can do your work, watch and listen to the lectures (or download them to your mp3 player), take your quizzes and exams, etc. at your convenience during the week. The class will get meet in person for 32 hours worth of skills labs (usually four Saturdays for eight hours each), these dates and times are decided in the first week of the course. Students MUST have access to high-speed internet and be comfortable using a computer! Students should also be highly motivated and able to manage their time well. Thirty two hours of internship are completed in the last half of the course.

Is a hybrid class right for me?

EMT—Fast Track Format  (Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm for four weeks)
This course is designed to allow students who have the summers open  (students, teachers, etc.) to complete the course in rapid manner. The course covers several chapters per day and there is an exam every four-five days. Within the course schedule, there are five days that are built in to allow the student to complete their internship requirements. The actual course and internship are done in four weeks, the course orientation is the week before the course starts and the final exams are the week after the course ends.
