I -Weatherization TrainingIowa Western Community College, as Lead Agency for Southwest Iowa Energy Sector Team, offers a multiple weatherization opportunities for participants with construction experience and inexperienced participants.The Department of Energy’s standardized weatherization training is utilized for these training programs. These programs offers preparatory classroom lessons, hands-on lab and field experiences for incumbent workers, unemployed, underemployed, and displaced adults, including veterans, high school drop-outs, and applicants with limited English skills. |

Weatherization Technician/Installer Weatherization Crew Chief Energy Auditor Bringing I-Weatherize to Southwest IowaIn the summer of 2010, Iowa Western Community College through the Iowa Power Fund, was able to introduce a mobile weatherization training trailer. Working with companies, towns and organizations, IWCC was able to bring weatherization training to communities throughout Southwest Iowa.
