About the Program
This course prepares you for the National Certified Bookkeeper (CB) examination. This course will be taught by Brandon Green.
Program to Include
- Adjusting entries
- Correction of accounting errors
- Basic book and tax depreciation
- Basic payroll
- Inventory, internal controls and fraud prevention
High School Diploma or equivalent. Some bookkeeping experience necessary.
Non-Credit to Credit
Take your education to a whole new level and earn college credit toward an Early Childhood: Administration certificate or a degree in Business Administration; Management and Human Resources Marketing. Successful completion of this program will earn you 3 hours of college credit for Intro to Accounting!
Career & Salary Information
Certified Bookkeepers compile, compute, and record billing, accounting, statistical, and other numerical data for billing purposes. Prepare billing invoices for services rendered or for delivery or shipment of goods. Complete adjusting entries; complete payroll functions. Additional education and training could lead to advancement in a bookkeeping or accounting position as well as supervision in the field. Faster than average growth is expected to 2024 (9% to 13%). Median salary $16.85 hourly, $35,050 annually.
