Great Location
Iowa Western Community College is tucked into the beautiful Loess Hills in Council Bluffs and offers a safe, affordable environment for students seeking a quality education. With its peaceful setting, IWCC offers picturesque scenery, wandering paths, and a quiet getaway. Yet, with downtown Omaha just 10 minutes from campus, a big city fix is never far from students. Social events, sports, and scenery—they are all here, and they are on or close to our campus.

Easy access.
Whether you live on campus or commute to school, our classrooms and other facilities are readily accessible. All buildings are within walking distance of one another and there is ample free parking on campus, so you will find that it is difficult to be late for class or to miss an event.

Peace of mind
Although we are close to big city action, our campus is far enough away to ensure a safe environment for learning and living. With very low campus crime rates, a 24-hour security force on patrol, secured entrances, and buildings equipped with state-of-the-art security cameras, Iowa Western students are comfortable and secure.

Recreational opportunities
Ride your bike on the trail that starts right on campus, toss a Frisbee on our championship-style disc golf course, play a game of tennis, or compete on one of the many intramural teams that range from bowling to basketball.
