Culinary & Pastry Arts Events throughout the school year

  • Black Tie Harvest Scholarship Dinner held every September
  • Chocolate Festival-Great Omaha Chocolate Festival, sponsored by the National Council of Jewish Women, Omaha Section, every October
  • Chili Cook-Off.  Student competition held at Lewis Central Football stadium held in October or November.
  • T.O.E.- Missouri River Valley Taste of Elegance, sponsored by Iowa Pork Producers Association, every March
  • FCS High School Competition- Family and Consumer Science Culinary and Pastry Competition, sponsored by IWCC’s Culinary Arts Department, every March
  • Wine & Jazz Festival- Jazz & Wine Event, IWCC’s Atlantic Center Scholarship Fundraiser, every March
  • Student Taste of Elegance Competition, sponsored by Iowa Pork Producers Association every March
  • Beef inter collegiate Culinary Competition, sponsored by the Iowa beef Industry Council – Every April
  • Two Gourmet Dinners – one in the fall held in November.  One in the spring held in April
  • Friday Luncheons – These are in the spring semester
